Early Life and Background

Stuart Fairchild was born on March 17, 1996. He attended Seattle Preparatory School in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle, Washington, where he played for the school’s baseball team. Fairchild earned recognition for his talents, being named to The Seattle Times’ All-Area Team in 2014. He was also selected for the All-Metro Teams in 2012 and 2013, and received All-State honors from the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association in 2013 and 2014. After high school, he enrolled at Wake Forest University, where he continued to excel in baseball. During his collegiate career, he played for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2016.

Path to Baseball

Fairchild’s college career was marked by impressive statistics. In his junior year, he achieved a batting average of .360 with 17 home runs and 67 RBIs in 63 games. Over his college career, he was a three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) pick and an All-American, finishing with a batting average of .334, 27 home runs, and 155 RBIs. Fairchild spent the 2018 season with both the Single-A Dayton Dragons and the High-A Daytona Tortugas, earning Midwest League All-Star honors. He combined to hit .264 with nine home runs and 57 RBIs in 130 games. In 2019, he continued to develop, batting .264 with 12 home runs and 54 RBIs while playing for the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts. Unfortunately, Fairchild did not play in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which canceled the minor league season.
