His impressive performance made him a four-star prospect, leading him to commit to play college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Arnold redshirted his first year at Alabama in 2021, not participating in any games. In the 2022 season, he made a significant impact, recording his first career interception and helping the Crimson Tide secure a narrow victory against Texas A&M. By the end of the season, Arnold had tallied 45 tackles, eight pass deflections, and one interception, earning him a spot on the Freshman All-American team. His performance in 2023 further solidified his reputation, as he was named a first-team All-American after recording 63 tackles and five interceptions.
