Tyler Polley Bio
Tyler Jacobi Polley (born April 7, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies. After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, he began his professional career in Greece before returning to the G League.
Early Life and Background
Tyler Polley was born in Miramar, Florida. He attended Sagemont School in Weston, Florida, where he played under Coach Adam Ross. During his senior year, he averaged 21.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, showcasing his talent and helping his team achieve a 22–7 record, culminating in a run to the 4A Regional Final. This early exposure to competitive basketball laid the foundation for his future endeavors in the sport.
Path to Basketball
Following his high school success, Tyler Polley continued his basketball journey at the University of Connecticut, commonly known as UConn. He played for the UConn Huskies for five seasons, participating in a total of 135 games. Over his college career, he started 61 games and averaged 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks per game. His performance earned him the title of Big East Sixth Man of the Year in 2021, where he averaged 7.5 points per game in 22 appearances.

After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, Tyler Polley signed with PAOK Mateco in the Greek Basketball League on August 13, 2022. During his time with PAOK, he made 40 appearances, averaging 6.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.5 steals per game. His solid performance in Greece helped him gain valuable experience and exposure on an international level.
Breakthrough (2023)
In August 2024, Polley signed with Kolossos H Hotels, another team in the Greek Basketball League. He played in 24 games, averaging 8.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, further establishing himself as a capable player. However, his journey took another turn when he signed with the Indiana Pacers on September 26, 2024, only to be waived the next day. Subsequently, he joined the Indiana Mad Ants but was waived after one game.
