Early Life and Background

Anthony Xavier Legette was born on January 29, 2001, in Mullins, South Carolina. He attended Mullins High School, where he played wide receiver and also took on the role of quarterback during his senior year. In his final year of high school, he amassed 1,826 receiving yards and scored 19 touchdowns, while also passing for 887 yards and 14 touchdowns. His impressive performance earned him a commitment to the University of South Carolina to continue his football career.

Path to American Football

During his college career at the University of South Carolina, Legette played in 41 games over four years, starting 17 of them. He recorded 42 receptions for 423 yards and five touchdowns. In 2023, as a fifth-year senior, he emerged as the team’s number one receiver, achieving a remarkable total of 1,255 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 71 receptions. His standout performance included a career-high 217 yards in a single game against Jacksonville State.
