Tina Charles is an American professional basketball player, a 6 ft 4 in center drafted first overall in the 2010 WNBA draft by the Connecticut Sun. She won the 2012 WNBA MVP, the 2010 WNBA Rookie of the Year, two NCAA championships with UConn, and three Olympic gold medals with Team USA in 2012, 2016, and 2020. A multi-time All-Star and WNBA 25th Anniversary Team selection, she became the Liberty’s all-time scoring leader and, on August 21, 2024, the second all-time scorer in WNBA history.
