North Elba Pickleball Courts Nearing Final Stages: There is a sense of excitement growing in North Elba as the town gets ready to open its newest recreational facility. brand-new pickleball courts, slated to open by June 15, weather permitting. The community courts, nearing completion behind the North Elba Showgrounds and Athletic Fields, mark a significant investment in local recreational facilities.
From June 10 to June 14, a specialized crew from JM Pro Courts and Solutions will complete the final touches, including painting and netting. The town will also install benches and seasonal portable restrooms, improving player and spectator comfort.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), as well as contributions from the Town of North Elba and the Local Enhancement and Advancement Fund (LEAF), specifically earmarked for fencing, have secured funding for the project.
“We are thrilled to bring these pickleball courts to the North Elba community,” expressed Matt St. Louis, North Elba Park District Manager. “This project represents a significant investment in our community’s recreational facilities, and we look forward to seeing people of all ages enjoying these courts for many years to come.”
The courts, which are accessible via Recycle Cir Lane, will operate daily from dawn to dusk.
