Penticton Pickleball Club Gears Up for More Riveting Action in 2025

Pickleball is thriving in Penticton, and the Penticton Pickleball Club is leading the charge with plans to expand facilities to meet the rising demand for the sport. In collaboration with the City of Penticton, the club has announced the construction of two new pickleball courts at Robinson Park, set for completion by spring 2025. Additionally, four new public courts are scheduled to open at Skaha Lake Park by the end of the same year.

Both projects will be partially funded by the Penticton Pickleball Club, a non-profit organization committed to growing the sport’s presence in the community.

Expanding Opportunities at Robinson Park

For the members of the Penticton Pickleball Club, the development of these new courts is a welcome addition. Robinson Park, in particular, will see two new courts added, increasing access for players of all skill levels.

“The addition of two new courts at Robinson Park is an exciting step for our club.” said Ronna Pearson, president of the Penticton Pickleball Club, which currently has over 460 members.

The demand for courts in Penticton has been steadily growing, fueled by the sport’s increasing popularity across Canada. As a result, the Penticton Pickleball Club has been proactive in addressing the need for more accessible facilities.

Skaha Lake Park Courts: A Community Boost

The Skaha Lake Park courts are set to serve a broader public audience, providing more opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with the sport. The addition of these four new courts is expected to significantly enhance the pickleball experience in the community, providing ample space for recreational and competitive play.

“These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering the growth of pickleball in Penticton,” said Don Milne, the club’s treasurer. The Penticton Pickleball Club’s efforts highlight their dedication to making pickleball a staple activity in the area.

Partnership with the City

This expansion wouldn’t be possible without the strong partnership between the Penticton Pickleball Club and the City of Penticton. By pooling resources, the two organizations are ensuring that the sport will continue to flourish in the community.

The club, which is partially funding the new courts, is committed to making pickleball more accessible to everyone. With the projects slated for completion by the end of 2025, the addition of these new facilities is expected to have a lasting impact on the growth of pickleball in Penticton.
