The NAPP Pro Tour Pickleball Tournament #2 will take place from November 15 to November 17, 2024, at YEG Pickleball, located at 14025 156 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6V1J1. This competitive pickleball event features distinct entry requirements and structure for men’s and women’s divisions.
Eligibility Requirements
To compete, men must hold a Green Reliability Circle DUPR rating of 4.5 or higher within six months of the tournament entry date. Women must have a Green Reliability Circle DUPR rating of 4.0 or higher within the same timeframe.
Player Partnerships and Seeding
Partnering arrangements will be crucial for tournament entry. Signed pickleball players are automatically seeded into the Main Event Draw, while those partnered with unsigned players must participate in the Qualifier Round. Partnerships can be changed for each tournament, but player substitutions are not permitted.
Entry Fees
- Qualifier Round: $75.00
- Main Draw: $175.00
- Players advancing from the Qualifier Round to the Main Draw will need to pay an additional $100.00 to participate.
- Entry fees for signed players cover all events, while unsigned players are responsible for their respective fees.
Tournament Format and Ball Used
The pickleball tournament will use the Durafast 40 ball.
Qualifier Round:
- Format: Single Elimination
- Matches: Best of 3 to 11, win by 2
- Seeding is based on combined DUPR ratings; no DUPR score reporting is required.
- Non-advancing teams will compete in the Semi-Pro Round.
Semi-Pro Round: (For players not advancing to the Main Event)
- Format: Double Elimination with Opportunity Bracket
- “A” Bracket: Best of 3 to 11, win by 2
- Opportunity Bracket: 1 to 15, win by 2
- No prize money awarded.
- Seeding based on combined DUPR ratings; no score reporting is required.
Main Event: (For players advancing from the Qualifier & signed partnerships)
- Format: Double Elimination with Opportunity Bracket
- “A” Bracket: Best of 3 to 11, win by 2
- Opportunity Bracket: 1 to 15, win by 2
- Prize Purse:
- 1st Place: $2,500
- 2nd Place: $1,500
- 3rd Place: $1,000
- Seeding based on combined DUPR ratings and DUPR score reporting.
- Eliminated teams may participate in the Sponsorship Round.
Sponsorship Round: (For players eliminated from the Main Event)
- Format: Single Elimination
- Matches: 1 to 15, win by 2
- No prize money is awarded, but prizes are provided by NAPP sponsors.
- Seeding based on combined DUPR ratings; no score reporting is required.
Note: NAPP reserves the right to modify event types as necessary.
Advancement Criteria
The number of teams advancing to the Main Draw will depend on the number of teams competing in the Qualifier:
- 4-8 teams: 1 team advances to Main Draw + Golden Ticket Team
- 9-12 teams: 2 teams advance to Main Draw + Golden Ticket Team
- 13-16 teams: 4 teams advance to Main Draw + Golden Ticket Team
- 17+ teams: 6 teams advance to Main Draw + Golden Ticket Team
Golden Ticket Team: The gold medal-winning team from the preceding Semi-Pro Tournament in the 4.5+ Bracket automatically advances to the Main Draw.
Player Clinic
A player clinic hosted by NAPP will be available, offering a chance to learn and practice with NAPP pros in a multi-drill circuit training session.

- 16 spots for 3.0/3.5 skill levels
- 12 spots for 4.0+ skill levels
- Cost: $175.00 per session
- Includes a weekend spectator pass to Pro Tournament #2.
Skills Covered:
- 3.0/3.5 Skills: Crosscourt dinking, 3rd & 5th shots, No Man’s Land resets, Top Spin rolls.
- 4.0+ Skills: Offensive vs. defensive dinking, variations of the roll, transition zone strategy.
Refund Policy
The cancellation deadline is set for October 25, 2024. Refunds will be issued minus a $20 withdrawal fee for cancellations made before this date. No refunds will be granted for any reason after the cancellation deadline.
