Derrick James Lewis (born February 7, 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist competing in the Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Known by the nickname “The Black Beast,” Lewis has built a reputation for remarkable knockout power and currently holds the record for most knockouts in UFC history, with 16 finishes. Early Life and Background
Derrick James Lewis was born on February 7, 1985, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Raised as one of seven siblings by a single mother, Lewis grew up in a difficult environment and was often involved in street fights during his youth.
