For singles, it’s a lot like tennis; for doubles, it’s slow play and different strategies. Took a little time for doubles, so working on it,” he shared in an exclusive conversation with Pickleball Now.

He has developed a fondness for Indian cuisine, particularly butter chicken, which he relished during a professional tournament in the country a few years back. “I love Indian food, and the weather is good. I love the warm weather. It’s a bonus for me. I feel great to be here. I was in Delhi for a pro tournament two years ago, and now I am back to play pickleball,” he expressed.

As pickleball rapidly ascends as one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States and worldwide, Boyer attributes its popularity to its accessibility. “It is pretty easy to pick up and a great way to meet people. Just go out there and play. For tennis, it’s a little tougher,” he explained.

It’s gonna be fun to see some players from India too, whom I know and have played tennis against,” he concluded.
