Raphael Lavoie Earns NHL Call-Up Amid Golden Knights Shakeup

The Vegas Golden Knights have called up forward Raphael Lavoie to strengthen their roster while star winger Mark Stone remains sidelined with a day-to-day injury. Lavoie’s recent success in the minors, tallying five points over his last three games and compiling 11 points across ten outings, has earned him this opportunity.

Tracking Lavoie’s Progress Through the Minor and Major Leagues

This marks Lavoie’s first NHL recall this season, although he has previously played in the league. Last year, he appeared in nine games for Vegas without registering any points. Similarly, his initial NHL experience was with the Edmonton Oilers during seven games in the 2023-24 season, also without scoring. Despite these returns, his minor-league performance has been impressive, with 50 points in 66 games during the 2023-24 season and 26 points in 42 games in the following 2024-25 campaign. His current season shows even stronger production, with a projected pace of 63 points over 60 games, although an injury from late October to mid-January limited his game time.

Lavoie’s Impact and Upcoming Competition for NHL Spot

Even while managing injury setbacks, Lavoie maintained an 11-game scoring streak from October 24th to February 4th, accumulating 13 points during this stretch. Beyond scoring goals, he has become a significant contributor in shots on goal for the Henderson Silver Knights. Should Mark Stone need extended time away, Lavoie is poised to compete strongly for the fourth-line right-wing position against teammate Cole Reinhardt, who has recorded seven points over 42 games this season.
