Braves Reveal 24 MLB Spring Training Invites Ahead of Camp

With Major League Baseball’s spring training set to begin officially on February 9th in North Port, Florida, the Atlanta Braves have named 24 players invited to participate in their spring camp. The group includes a mix of promising young talents and experienced veterans, who will spend the next month preparing for the upcoming season.

The Braves extended invitations to 10 pitchers, three catchers, seven infielders, and four outfielders. Some of the top prospects on the list include JR Ritchie, Garrett Baumann, and Owwn Murphy, while the veterans with major league experience are Carlos Carrasco, Sandy Leon, Chadwick Tromp, and Martin Perez, who was added to the team just last week.

Uncertainty Surrounds Potential Additions to Braves’ 40-Man Roster

As spring training begins, it remains uncertain whether any of the invited players will secure a spot on Atlanta’s official 40-man roster. The current roster is full, but teams have opportunities to make adjustments during camp by placing players on the 60-day injured list, which would create additional slots.

The Braves are bringing a total of 64 players to spring training, allowing prospects and veterans alike to compete for a position. Players like Sandy Leon and Carlos Carrasco are looking to demonstrate they still belong in the majors after varying performances. Carrasco, for example, pitched 13.2 innings for Atlanta in 2025 but struggled with a 9.88 ERA.

Key Dates and New Faces Expected at Braves’ Training Camp

The pitching and catching groups will report on February 9th, while the first full team workout is scheduled for February 15th at CoolToday Park. Fans will have access to the facility in North Port to watch players prepare for the season.

Notable new additions joining the Braves’ camp this year include Mauricio Dubon, Mike Yastrzemski, and free-agent closer Robert Suarez, who recently left the San Diego Padres to sign with Atlanta. Suarez’s presence adds fresh competition to the pitching staff as the team looks to finalize its roster and roles heading into 2026.
