Baltimore Orioles prospect Jackson Holliday, currently recovering from a hamate bone injury, has been sharing glimpses of his time with his wife, Chloe, through social media. Chloe posted a series of photos showing Jackson with their dog Coconut and snapshots from a recent getaway, including one revealing his injured right hand. Her post reflected on the past few weeks together as Holliday continues his rehab process.
“A little bit from the past few weeks,” she captioned the post.
Warm Responses from Teammates and Fellow Players’ Families
The post caught the eye of several players close to Holliday. Katherine, the wife of Orioles teammate Gunnar Henderson, replied simply with,
“Love.”
Additionally, Reagan Elizabeth, the spouse of Chicago Cubs All-Star Alex Bregman, commented,
“Gorg.”
Earlier in the week, Chloe also celebrated Valentine’s Day with Holliday by sharing a heartfelt message about their simple daily routines and the joy they find together.
“Love any day I get to celebrate your love! Not the most ‘insta worthy pic’ but this was us this morning grabbing a matcha & cold brew before heading back to FL – even the small mundane things you make fun & special! Love doing this life with you!! Happy Vday 🤍.”
Positive Signs in Holliday’s Rehabilitation Journey
Jackson Holliday will miss the Orioles’ Spring Training games this season due to his injury, which also rules him out for the team’s Opening Day. Despite this setback, there are encouraging updates about his progress. According to MASN reporter Roch Kubatko, Holliday is planned to remove the stitches from his right hand on Monday and begin swinging shortly after.
“Jackson Holliday gets the stitches out of his right hand on Monday,” Kubatko wrote. “Can start [swinging] after that. Can gradually begin activities. Said it feels good. Doesn’t think it looks good, but docs assured him that’s how the hand’s supposed to look. He’s taking their word for it.”
Holliday’s Ambitions Following a Challenging Season
At just 22 years old, Holliday’s sophomore season ended with a .242 batting average and a .314 on-base percentage, accompanied by 17 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases over 142 hits. As a former first overall pick, he aims to bounce back and contribute significantly to Baltimore’s effort to contend in the American League next season, showing resilience despite the difficulties faced in 2025.
