Nashville SC Secures Sam Surridge in Major Contract Win

Nashville SC has officially extended the contract of English forward Sam Surridge through the 2027-28 season, with an option to keep him for the 2028-29 campaign, the club announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old striker has been a significant presence since joining the team in July 2023 from Nottingham Forest, a Premier League club.

Surridge, a pivotal player for Nashville SC, has accumulated 52 goals and 10 assists in 88 appearances across all competitions. His outstanding performances have established him as one of the club’s three Designated Players, alongside Hany Mukhtar and Cristian Espinoza.

Key Leadership Endorses Surridge’s Role at the Club

Mike Jacobs, Nashville SC’s president of soccer operations and general manager, emphasized Surridge’s importance to the club’s progress.

“Sam has been a key contributor to our club’s success, and pledging his future to the club demonstrates how important a figure he is to Nashville SC,”

Jacobs said.

He added,

“We are excited for Sam to continue to pursue club and individual honors here with us.”

Surridge’s Achievements Highlighted in Recent Seasons

In the previous season, Surridge scored 24 goals, tying for second place with LAFC’s Denis Bouanga in the MLS Golden Boot race, following only Lionel Messi from Inter Miami CF. His performances also earned him a finalist spot for the Landon Donovan MLS MVP award and selection as an MLS All-Star in 2025.
