Ty Dillon returned to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Saturday at EchoPark Speedway, previously known as Atlanta Motor Speedway, driving as part of Kaulig Racing’s Free Agent Program. Kaulig Racing, led by Matt Kaulig, is competing full-time with five trucks this season in collaboration with Ram Trucks, which returned as a manufacturer to the Truck Series for the first time since 2012.
The No. 25 Ram truck has featured multiple drivers this year instead of a dedicated full-time driver. Tony Stewart started the season behind the wheel of the No. 25 at Daytona International Speedway—his first Truck Series start since 2005—but he was involved in a crash that ended his race early. Following Stewart, Ty Dillon made his debut in the No. 25 and finished 11th at Atlanta.
Though Tony Stewart has not ruled out another future Truck Series start, no official plans have been announced. Meanwhile, Ty Dillon is preparing for this weekend’s Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas, remaining a full-time competitor in Kaulig Racing’s Cup Series effort.
Colin Braun Named to Drive No. 25 Truck at St. Petersburg
With Ty Dillon focusing on the Cup Series event, Kaulig Racing has appointed Colin Braun as the driver of the No. 25 Ram for the upcoming NASCAR Truck Series race on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, set for Saturday, February 28. Braun’s appearance marks the third different driver to pilot the No. 25 this season.

Braun is notably a former full-time Truck Series competitor and race winner, having raced the complete schedules in 2008 and 2009 with Roush Fenway Racing. He claimed victory at the 2009 Michigan International Speedway race and finished fifth in the overall standings that year. Since then, Braun has only made two Truck Series starts, both in 2011 with Billy Ballew Motorsports. Alongside his Truck Series experience, Braun is a three-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship champion.
This weekend’s race in St. Petersburg represents a milestone for the Truck Series, as it is the first time the series is competing on a street course.
The Kaulig Racing full-time driver roster also includes Daniel Dye (No. 10 Ram), Brenden Queen (No. 12 Ram), Mini Tyrell—the Ram: Race for the Seat winner—(No. 14 Ram), and Justin Haley (No. 16 Ram). Apart from Braun’s upcoming drive at St. Petersburg, another Ram: Race for the Seat winner, Carson Ferguson, has been confirmed to pilot the No. 25 Ram at Martinsville Speedway in October, the penultimate race of the season.

Fans can watch the OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 race live on Fox beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 28. Streaming options, such as a free trial of FuboTV, will also provide access to the action.
The inclusion of a street course in the NASCAR Truck Series schedule introduces a fresh challenge for drivers and teams and highlights Kaulig Racing’s adaptable strategy for the No. 25 truck. With drivers like Colin Braun bringing past experience and fresh enthusiasm, the team aims to build momentum in this historic event as the series expands its venues.
