Christian Braun returned to the Denver Nuggets‘ starting lineup on Tuesday after missing 12 games due to a left ankle sprain. During the Nuggets’ 124-121 defeat to the Detroit Pistons, Braun logged 26 minutes but managed just six points on inefficient shooting, along with two assists.
Challenges in Finding Offensive Rhythm After Injury
Although Braun resumed a healthy workload, his shooting difficulties continued. This season, his three-point accuracy has dropped significantly, hitting only about 20.6 percent compared to over 35 percent in his first three NBA seasons. This limited scoring output suggests Braun has yet to regain his earlier shooting form.
Prospects for Playing Time and Role Stability
With Nuggets teammates Cameron Johnson and Aaron Gordon sidelined due to knee and hamstring injuries, Braun is expected to maintain a regular starting role for the time being. However, unless his shooting improves, meaningful increases in his playing time appear unlikely during the current campaign.
