“It’s definitely surreal, I will say that,”
he said.
“I mean, it’s just like, you know, he was just here the other day, and now we’re back doing this, you know, he’s getting honored and, it’s just great.”
His mother, Cherice Powell, also shared her pride.
“To look up and see his jersey up there, I mean, Northwood’s just been great to all three of my kids,”
she said.
“This community, it’s a great thing, and we’re very honored.”
