He continued,
“Allowing this night to go forward without protest would reflect poorly on us as an NBA community, specifically in being complicit in the potential objectification and mistreatment of women in our society.”
Kornet emphasized the risks that women in the adult entertainment industry often face, including abuse and harassment, which should never be tolerated.

Insider David Aldridge noted that Jamie Gertz, one of the team’s co-owners, is also an executive producer of the STARZ documentary about Magic City, which the event aims to spotlight.
