Charles Bassey recorded his eighth straight double-double as the Santa Cruz Warriors were defeated 113-104 by the Stockton Kings in an NBA G League game held Monday night at Adventist Health Arena. Bassey’s consistent efforts were not enough to lift the Warriors, who struggled notably from beyond the arc, making only five of 24 three-point attempts.
Individual Contributions Highlight Warriors and Kings Efforts
Bassey finished the game with 23 points and 14 rebounds, anchoring the Warriors’ frontcourt presence. Guards Deivon Smith and Taevion Kinsey each added 19 points, while Chance McMillian contributed 15 points and seven assists. Ja’Vier Francis nearly reached a double-double as well, tallying 12 points and nine rebounds. Jack Clark provided an additional 10 points for Santa Cruz, but the team’s shooting struggles limited their ability to close the gap.
On the opposing side, forward DaQuan Jeffries led all scorers with 30 points, including four made three-pointers out of 14 attempts by the Kings. Guard KJ Jones II supported with 21 points and six rebounds, while Gabe Levin delivered a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Jon Elmore and Jaylin Williams also made key contributions with 16 and 17 points respectively, Williams adding eight rebounds to his total.

Upcoming Matchup Against the Birmingham Squadron
The Warriors look to recover when they host the Birmingham Squadron at Kaiser Permanente Arena this Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The Squadron hold a 10-17 record, representing a chance for Santa Cruz to bounce back and build momentum.
