At 33 years old, Brissett was a third-round selection by the New England Patriots in 2016 and was traded to the Colts in 2017 in exchange for wide receiver Phillip Dorsett. He signed a notable two-year deal with the Colts in 2019 worth $30 million, including $20 million guaranteed, after his rookie contract ended. He subsequently spent time with the Dolphins, Browns, Washington Commanders, and returned briefly to the Patriots before signing with the Cardinals in 2024.

If the Jets do target veteran QBs with ties to Frank Reich, I would not make any assumptions about Carson Wentz. Things ended very poorly for them in Indianapolis.
