Kaleesa Sundell, wife of Seattle Seahawks center Jalen Sundell, is preparing a special DIY outfit for Super Bowl LX on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. As her husband takes the field for the team’s first Super Bowl appearance in over ten years, Kaleesa plans to showcase a unique blend of comfort and sparkle, highlighting her support through personalized fashion.
From Sidelines to Style: A Supportive Partner’s Touch
Since marrying Jalen Sundell in May 2023, Kaleesa has been a constant presence at practices and games, cheering from the stands with enthusiasm. The 25-year-old mom balances practicality and personality in her gameday wardrobe, often choosing comfortable basics but adding custom details that reflect her family’s spirit.
Her approach embraces simplicity combined with creativity, frequently incorporating DIY touches such as iron-on patches or stickers to transform thrifted or favorite pieces.
“I just like to keep it simple and comfy, but I do like to add one DIY customized piece to make the outfit special,”
she told PEOPLE.
Details of Her Super Bowl Look
For the big day, Kaleesa anticipates an outfit that stands out with subtle, sparkling elements that represent her husband’s jersey number and their shared last name. She plans to embellish a denim tank top with rhinestones forming Jalen’s number and possibly add rhinestone lettering to a leather jacket. This ensemble will be paired with a black denim skirt and silver accessories to complement the glittering accents.
“It’s nothing too glamorous, but I think it adds a nice touch to the fit,”
Kaleesa explained, recalling how she customized a pair of thrifted jeans with her husband’s name and number earlier in the season.
Balancing Football Season and Family Life
Alongside Kaleesa at Levi’s Stadium will be their daughter Sydney, born in June 2025, who has already attended many home games to cheer on her dad. Despite the demands of the NFL season, Kaleesa and Jalen strive to prioritize family time, designating Tuesdays as their day for undisturbed activities together.
“He has Tuesdays off every week, so that is our designated day to be together as a family and to have uninterrupted time with one another,”
she shared. Becoming parents has brought both joy and challenges.
“It has been such a joy being new parents to a sweet little girl while also being the hardest thing we’ve had to do,”
Kaleesa reflected.
“Parenting has taught us so much already, and it has truly been such a blessing. I’ve enjoyed having my daughter by my side for every home game this year. She has done so well at the games, cheering her dad on.”
Looking Forward Beyond the Big Game
With the season culminating in the Super Bowl showdown against the New England Patriots, Kaleesa is focused on relaxing and spending quality time with her family during the offseason.
“I’m just looking forward to spending more time as a family,”
she said.
“We have a fun trip planned together this offseason, so I can’t wait to relax and enjoy quality time together!”
