Jordan becomes the third member of the Saints organization to receive the honorary captain title, following notable HBCU alumni Terron Armstead and Jameis Winston. As an eight-time Pro Bowler holding the Saints’ all-time sack record with 132, Jordan serves as a role model many HBCU players aspire to emulate. His 15-year career with New Orleans features 490 solo tackles and a notable 10.5 sacks last season, ranking him 17th all-time in NFL career sacks.
Before entering the NFL, Jordan played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he recorded 175 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, and 16.5 sacks. Drafted 24th overall in 2011 by the Saints, he has remained a cornerstone of the team ever since.
