Mack Hollins Scores $400K Surprise Payday from Patriots

New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins has secured a $400,000 bonus from the team after missing the final two games of the 2025 regular season due to a lacerated spleen. Although Hollins fell short of the required 50 catches to trigger the incentive, finishing with 46 receptions, the Patriots have decided to honor the full bonus, highlighting Hollins’ importance to their offense.

Details Behind Hollins’ Incentive and Season Performance

The bonus Hollins received maxed out the incentives available in his contract for the season. According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Patriots triggered two separate bonuses of $300,000 each when Hollins reached 30 and 40 catches, respectively. Despite missing games, Hollins ended the year with 46 catches, accumulating 550 yards and two touchdowns, which were the third-highest total on the team and the second-highest among wide receivers. Hollins also contributed significantly to the run game through effective blocking.

Contract Status and Future Outlook with the Patriots

At 32 years old, Hollins is entering the final year of his two-year, $8.4 million contract with the Patriots, which includes $3.4 million guaranteed. In 2026, Hollins will earn a base salary of $4.3 million with the potential to add $1 million more in incentives. The Patriots’ wide receiver group faces no expiring contracts, offering stability and flexibility for the upcoming season.

Team Strategy and Cap Space Heading into 2026

The Patriots are positioned to retain their entire wide receiver roster for 2026, with ample salary cap space estimated at $40.6 million. Coupled with 11 selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, New England has both the financial flexibility and draft capital to reinforce or upgrade its wide receiver corps as needed to remain competitive.

“The team really values what Hollins has brought to the field on and off the ball,”

said Ari Meirov, NFL insider.

“Giving him this payout shows their commitment to him as a key piece moving forward.”
