Emergency responders arrived at a garage on the 1600 block of Ekin Avenue around 5:27 p.m., where Moore was located before being transported to Baptist Health Floyd and pronounced deceased shortly after 6 p.m.

The New Albany Police Department initially reported Moore was pronounced dead upon their arrival. Police and the Floyd County Coroner’s Office are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, which officials suspect to be a suicide.

Moore’s football talent was evident early on as he played for New Albany High School before transferring to Trinity High School for the remainder of his high school career.
