Stroud, dismissing rumors of possible changes at the position this offseason. Despite Stroud’s difficulties in two recent playoff games, Caserio was clear about the team’s direction. “He’s our quarterback,” Caserio stated. “He’s not going anywhere.”

C.J. Stroud dealt with significant challenges during the Texans’ playoff appearances, including throwing five interceptions and fumbling five times between games against Pittsburgh and New England. Notably, he threw one interception and lost five fumbles in the AFC Wild Card round against Pittsburgh, followed by four interceptions during the first half of the Divisional playoff loss to New England.
In the regular season, however, Stroud completed 64.5% of his passes, recording 3,041 yards along with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His 2023 season also earned him the AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, highlighting his potential despite recent struggles.
