Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy of the Cleveland Browns has remained mostly quiet this offseason, yet his actions suggest a clear message about his outlook. After a challenging 2025 season with the Browns where Jeudy’s production dropped significantly, his recent social media activity hints at renewed focus and motivation. The Browns, meanwhile, appear committed to building around him despite last season’s struggles.
Coming into the 2025 season, Jeudy was expected to lead as the Browns’ primary target following his Pro Bowl-level performance the previous year. Instead, he recorded just 50 receptions for 602 yards and two touchdowns, struggling to find consistency within an offense that rotated through three starting quarterbacks. His visible frustration surfaced during a heated sideline moment with quarterback Shedeur Sanders and a terse, one-word response at a press conference. Jeudy later admitted to his disappointment in a social media post, saying,
“Some seasons teach more than they give,”
and
“Thankful for the growth. Locked in for what’s ahead.”
After maintaining a low profile, Jeudy reignited attention on Thursday with a series of Instagram story posts showcasing highlights of his precise route running and catches from both his time with the Browns and the Denver Broncos. One post stood out for its succinctness and intent: “Run em,” signaling his readiness for the upcoming challenges.

Browns Management Expresses Confidence in Receiving Corps
The timing of Jeudy’s social media activity coincides with public statements from Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry, who expressed satisfaction with the current receiving group while also signaling potential roster enhancements. Berry emphasized the team’s openness to adding offensive weapons but affirmed confidence in players already on the roster.
“I think we can add all across the offense to be honest,”
Berry said.
“We’re really pleased with some of the younger players we have. Jerry [Jeudy] is gonna be a big part of it, and we’re pleased with Isaiah’s rookie year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t add to the arsenal. Malachi [Corley], he carved out a nice role. But we probably look at it more like global weapons and global pass catchers and Harold [Fannin Jr.] would be a part of that, obviously. Q is a weapon for us. You want to look at it as the overall infrastructure as opposed to one position.”
Sports journalist Mary Kay Cabot earlier reported that despite Jeudy’s down year, the Browns intend to keep him on the roster. Cabot detailed the financial aspects of Jeudy’s contract and the team’s expectation that Jeudy will rebound with greater quarterback consistency.
“Despite the rough year, Jeudy will be back with the Browns in 2026 with the expectation that he’ll rebound amid some quarterback stability,”
Cabot noted.
“Jeudy has two years left on his three-year extension worth $17.5 million a year, but the Browns have an out after 2026, given that the dead cap charge for 2027 would only be about $7.15 million. Of course, that will be a moot point if Jeudy has the comeback year the Browns are hoping for.”
Potential Additions Could Bolster Browns’ Receiving Options
The Browns have reportedly targeted improvements at wide receiver during the offseason, with speculation linking them to Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown. ESPN analyst Jeremy Fowler suggested Cleveland might trade a first-round pick as part of a deal to bring Brown aboard, which would significantly enhance the team’s passing attack under new head coach Todd Monken.
“They could use No. 6 on an offensive lineman and send No. 24 to the Eagles in exchange for Brown,”
Fowler said.
“This would immediately upgrade new head coach Todd Monken’s offense, giving the passing game a fighting chance alongside an already stout defense. Cleveland’s wide receiver room totaled just 1,467 receiving yards in 2025, worst in the NFL.”
In addition to veteran targets like Brown, Cleveland has draft prospects under consideration, including USC’s Makai Lemon and Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson, who could strengthen the receiver ranks.
Looking Ahead: The Browns’ Offense and Jeudy’s Role
Jerry Jeudy’s recent actions and the Browns’ management statements suggest the wide receiver’s future remains integral to Cleveland’s offensive ambitions. With Jeudy’s contract extending through 2026 and the team exploring both draft and trade options to enhance offense, next season could mark a turning point. Stability at quarterback and additional weapons on the roster have the potential to reignite Jeudy’s performance and impact.
How Jeudy channels his offseason intensity and integrates with new and returning players will be central to the Browns’ ability to improve their passing game and overall competitiveness in upcoming seasons.
