Kings Boost Roster with Zach Davidson, Hudson & Robinson Signings

The Louisville Kings have expanded their roster during this week’s UFL free agency by signing wide receiver Tyler Hudson, tight end Zach Davidson, and defensive end Jereme Robinson. These additions follow the earlier acquisition of former Jaguars running back James Robinson, aiming to enhance the team’s offensive and defensive depth for the upcoming season.

Tyler Hudson Adds Experience and Proven Talent at Wide Receiver

Tyler Hudson brings significant strength to the Kings’ wide receiver group, already noted for its talent. A local star, Hudson is distinguished as the seventh player in University of Louisville history to achieve a 1,000-yard receiving season, accomplishing this feat in his senior year in 2022. Before joining Louisville, he garnered All-American honors three times while playing at Central Arkansas.

After his collegiate success, Hudson spent two seasons with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams before moving to the German Football League, where he posted remarkable numbers in 2025 with 1,593 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns over just 12 games. His strong performance overseas highlights his potential to secure a key role on the Kings’ roster.

Zach Davidson’s Unique Journey Brings Versatility to Tight End Position

Zach Davidson stands out as a notable signing with an unconventional professional path. During his collegiate career at Central Missouri, he excelled as both a tight end and a punter, earning First Team All-American recognition in both roles. Standing 6-foot-7, Davidson was a dominant pass catcher, recording 894 yards and 15 touchdowns in the 2019 season alone.

Davidson was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, where he has primarily played the tight end position in the NFL. Joining the Kings means adding a player with height, receiving skills, and a strong football IQ, even though the team already has depth at the tight end position. His experience could prove valuable for their offensive schemes.

Defensive End Jereme Robinson Joins with Proven Leadership and Potential

Adding to their defensive lineup, the Kings signed Jereme Robinson, a defensive end known for his leadership and consistency during his time with the Kansas Jayhawks. Robinson appeared in 53 games during his college career and had an impressive senior year that included 22 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Several NFL teams showed interest in Robinson after college, giving him opportunities at training camps with the Eagles, Patriots, and Bears. Now, the Louisville Kings will look to develop his pass-rushing skills and integrate his ability to make impactful plays from the defensive edge.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening the Kings’ Competitiveness

With these key signings, the Kings are building a more versatile and dynamic roster ahead of the new season. Adding James Robinson, Tyler Hudson, Zach Davidson, and Jereme Robinson demonstrates the organization’s intent to compete at a high level in the UFL. Hudson’s local appeal and proven production, Davidson’s rare skill set, and Robinson’s defensive potential all contribute to what could be a pivotal year for Louisville.

The team now faces the challenge of integrating these players effectively during training camp and establishing chemistry on both offense and defense. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if these signings translate into improved performance on the field.

What role Hudson and Davidson will play in the Kings’ offensive strategy remains a topic of speculation, while Robinson’s ability to contribute as a disruptive force off the edge will also be closely monitored throughout the season.
