The Denver Broncos have finalized contract agreements with exclusive rights free agents, defensive back Devon Key and outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, as reported by Mike Klis. These re-signings come as the team aims to strengthen its defensive lineup for future seasons.
Background on Dondrea Tillman’s Professional Journey
Dondrea Tillman, who went undrafted in 2019 out of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, was selected in the third round of the 2022 United Football League draft by the Birmingham Stallions. After workouts with the Ravens and Falcons that did not result in contracts, Tillman returned to the UFL before signing a three-year, $2.8 million contract with the Broncos in June 2024. Although he was initially released during the final roster cuts and placed on the practice squad, Denver promoted him in September 2024 and subsequently extended an exclusive rights free agent tender.
Performance Highlights and Contributions in 2025 Season
During the 2025 NFL season, Tillman appeared in all 17 games for Denver. He accumulated 41 tackles, including three tackles for loss, added four sacks, intercepted two passes, and defended three others, showcasing his growing impact on the Broncos’ defense.
Per source, #Broncos have agreements to bring back exclusive rights free agent safety/All Pro special teamer Devon Key and fellow ERFA OLB Dondrea Tillman, who had 4.0 sacks and 2 INTs (with impressive returns) last year.
