An Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event scheduled for mid-June will take place on the White House South Lawn, featuring six to seven fights and hosting an audience of approximately 3,000 to 4,000 attendees. Organizers announced the plans recently, confirming that the show intends to bring mixed martial arts to a historic setting while accommodating a substantial crowd size.
The event is planned for June 14, coinciding with the U.S. Flag Day holiday as well as former President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, adding symbolic significance to the occasion. Ari Emanuel, chief executive officer and executive chairman of TKO Group, which owns UFC, shared details during an appearance on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show.
“At the White House, I think it’s 3 000 to 4 000 and then there will be other in other areas,”
Emanuel said.
Measures to Accommodate Larger Audiences Beyond the Lawn
To ensure that those unable to attend in person can still watch the fights, organizers plan to install large screens in various locations near the White House, allowing more viewers to follow the event without overcrowding the main venue. Additionally, the card is expected to be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+, expanding its reach to a national audience.
UFC president Dana White continues to finalize the event details and fighter lineup. Though the complete fight card has not been publicly announced, Emanuel emphasized the effort underway to secure a compelling show for fans.
“Dana is working on it right now,”
Emanuel stated.
He added,
“He hasn’t said to us what the card is going to be, but I know they are working pretty hard at it right now.”
