The Cinco De Mayo HYPE Tournament will take place on May 3, 2025, at Brooksville Country Club in Florida. The pickleball event will feature youth, mixed doubles, and men’s/women’s doubles competitions. Registration opens on March 3, 2025, and ends on April 30, 2025. The cost to enter is $55.
Tournament Details
The tournament will feature three divisions: Youth Division, Mixed Doubles, and Men’s/Women’s Doubles. The Youth Division is open to pickleball players ages 10-15, while the other divisions are for ages 16 and up.
There will be two skill levels: Intermediate (DUPR 3.5 and below) and Advanced (DUPR 3.5 and above). Each division has a maximum of 6 teams.
Games will follow a round-robin format, with each game lasting 15 minutes, played to 11 points, and winning by 2. If time runs out, players will finish the point. If the game is tied, the tournament will use rally scoring to determine the winner in a one-point tiebreaker.
After the round-robin games, all teams will move to a single-elimination bracket. The championship match will be played in a best-of-three format.
Schedule
The Youth Division will play from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mixed Doubles, divided into Intermediate and Advanced categories, will take place from 11:15 AM to 2:15 PM.
Men’s and Women’s Doubles will run from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The schedule is tentative, with the possibility of bracket changes based on registrations.
Registration Perks
Players who register by April 18 will receive a free Cinco De Mayo commemorative HYPE t-shirt. All players must complete payment at registration to secure their spot. Both partners in doubles events must register and pay their fees at the same time.
Refund Policy
Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled. No exceptions will be made, so participants are encouraged to ensure they can attend before registering.
Venue and Parking
The pickleball tournament will be held at Brooksville Country Club, located at 23446 Links Drive, Brooksville, Florida. The venue provides free parking for all participants.
