Orcas Island Pickleball Tournament: The 7th Annual Orcas Island Rotary Club Pickleball Tournament is set to attract pickleball enthusiasts from across the region on August 10 and 11. Co-hosted by the Orcas Island Pickleball Club and Orcas Island Park & Rec, this popular event features competitive play and community spirit. Registration is open for Mixed Doubles on Saturday, and Women’s and Men’s Doubles on Sunday. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit local non-profits, with last year’s event raising $13,000 for the Orcas Community Resource Center and youth scholarships.
Registration and Event Details
Participants of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join. Registration is available at www.orcaspickleball.org, with fees set at $50 for one event or $70 for two. The tournament will feature two skill levels: Beginner/Recreational and Intermediate/Advanced. Matches start at 8:00 a.m. each day, and spectators are welcome. The tournament will utilize the tennis courts throughout the weekend.
Additional Activities
Alongside the tournament, attendees can look forward to a raffle featuring local services and goods, with tickets available for purchase by anyone. A hosted barbecue for players and their families will take place on Saturday afternoon, following the awards ceremony, at Buck Park.
