1. Enhancements at DE TURF
DE TURF in Frederica secures $3 million to expand its capacity and amenities. Plans include tripling stadium seating to 3,000 and constructing a new tournament facility, aiming to elevate its status as a premier host for regional and national tournaments.
3. Midway Motion & Fitness: New Pickleball Complex
Midway Motion & Fitness in Rehoboth Beach receives $2 million to develop a state-of-the-art pickleball complex. Featuring 12 indoor and four outdoor courts, the facility will meet rigorous standards for hosting American Pickleball Association-sanctioned tournaments.
3. STATS Tournaments: Field Upgrades
STATS Tournaments in Bear allocates $300,000 to enhance existing facilities. This includes installing stadium lights at two fields and adding a baseball and softball field to meet the growing demand from teams and tournament organizers.
4.Indoor Track Delaware: Major Investment in Wilmington
The largest award of $6 million goes to Indoor Track Delaware in Wilmington. The funding will support the construction of a new indoor track facility adjacent to Chase Fieldhouse. Designed for multi-sport use, the venue aims to attract a diverse range of events and competitions.
