Exciting Summer Pickleball Lessons In Southborough Rec For Adults

Summer Pickleball Lessons In Southborough Rec: With summer in full swing, Southborough Rec is set to kick off its outdoor pickleball lessons for adults next week. Catering to both newcomers and those with some experience, the program offers two levels of instruction: Beginner 1 for those new to the sport and Beginner 2 for players looking to refine their skills. As always, these classes fill up quickly, so interested participants should sign up without delay.

Structured Learning for Every Skill Level

The lessons are designed for adults ages 18 and up, priced at $90 per session, which covers six weekly 90-minute lessons. Certified Pickleball Instructor Lisa Giusti will lead both levels of classes, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Each class is limited to 8 players, providing ample opportunity for personalized instruction in Tennis Courts at Mooney Field.

Beginner 1

This instructional program is tailored for athletes new to pickleball or those just beginning to learn the game. Participants will be taught the rules, techniques, and basic skills. The curriculum starts with the fundamentals and progresses to playing full games against each other.

– Tuesdays, July 2nd to August 6th, 9:00 – 10:30 am
– Wednesdays, July 3rd to August 7th, 10:00 – 11:30 am
– Wednesdays, July 3rd to August 7th, 5:00 – 6:30 pm

Beginner 2

This class is for players who have either completed a prior Beginner 1 clinic or are rated 2.5 with knowledge of scoring and court positioning. It focuses on proper technique and mechanics to help players gain more confidence on the court and improve their overall pickleball experience. The program covers shots like dinks, drops, groundstrokes, volleys, serves, and more.

– Tuesdays, July 2nd to August 6th, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

A Community Effort to Promote Pickleball

All classes will be held at the Mooney Field’s Tennis Courts, located on the Finn School campus at 60 Richards Road.
