Megan Fudge and Jack Munro Claim Gold: Megan Fudge and Jack Munro claimed the mixed doubles title at the APP Vlasic Classic in Daytona Beach, defeating Jill Braverman and Will Howells in straight games. After winning the first game 11-2, they staged a dramatic comeback in game two, overcoming an 8-2 deficit to secure gold with an 11-9 victory.

Fudge and Munro Overcome Early Deficit

The mixed doubles final at Pictona at Holly Hill was a rematch from the APP Tour’s season opener in Fort Lauderdale. Fudge and Munro came out strong, controlling the first game and winning 11-2.

In the second game, Munro took a brief medical timeout, but he and Fudge returned with renewed energy. Down 8-2, they fought back with determination, closing out the match 11-9 to claim the championship. Following the win, Fudge praised her partner’s resilience.

“This guy’s a beast right here. A lot of resilience. I have a lot of respect for him and his competitive spirit. He came back out here and gave it his all, and I’m just proud to be on the court with him. He carries me every other day, so it was my time to step up.” – (Fudge)

Haworth Earns First APP Tour Medal

The five-day event in Daytona Beach featured top-level competition across multiple divisions. In mixed doubles, Amanda Hendry and Chris Haworth secured the bronze medal. The podium finish marked Haworth’s first career APP Tour doubles medal, a significant milestone in his pickleball career.

With the win, Fudge and Munro continue to build momentum on the APP Tour. Their strong partnership and ability to overcome adversity could make them one of the top mixed doubles teams to watch in 2025.
