Event Format
- MLPlay Format: Each team of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) competes in a series of four 21-point games:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
- Dreambreaker: If the match ends 2-2, teams engage in a Dreambreaker, where one player from each team plays singles, switching every four rallies until a player reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
- DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
- DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 4.10 - DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 3.60
Once registered, a team’s ratings are locked, meaning any changes in DUPR will not affect their division placement.
Registration and Requirements
- DUPR Account: Required for all participants at the time of registration. Not rated players can compete, but their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
- Single Registrations: If an individual is part of a team but registering separately, they should specify the team name and DUPR division. In the event that a player cannot form a team, the tournament director will assist with placement. Refunds are available for players who cannot be placed.
- Substitute Players: Substitutes can be added by logging into Swish or submitting details directly to the tournament organizer. The substitute’s DUPR must not cause the team’s aggregate to exceed the event’s limit.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee, cancellations must be made by October 1, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
