Event Format
MLPlay Format: Teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete in a series of four 21-point games:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
Dreambreaker: If the match ends 2-2, teams will proceed to a Dreambreaker, where one player from each team plays singles. Players switch every four rallies until someone reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.
Rules
- Ratings Lock: Once registered, a team’s ratings are locked. Any changes in DUPR will not affect division placement.
- DUPR Account: Required for all participants at the time of registration. Not rated players can compete; their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
Registration and Requirements
- Single Registrations: If registering individually but part of a team, specify the team name and DUPR division. If unable to form a team, the tournament director will assist in placement, with refunds available for unplaced players.
- Substitute Players: Substitutes can be added by logging into Swish or submitting details to the tournament organizer. The substitute’s DUPR must not exceed the event’s limit.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee, cancellations must be received by October 8, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
