Event Format

The Dink Minor League Pickleball event offers an innovative team competition using the MLPlay format. Teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) will engage in the following format:

• MLPlay Format:
  • Four 21-point games:
    • Women’s Doubles
    • Men’s Doubles
    • Two Mixed Doubles
• Dreambreaker: If the match ends 2-2, a Dreambreaker will determine the winner. One player from each team plays singles against the other team’s player, switching every four rallies until someone reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.

DUPR Divisions

• DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
• DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
  • Maximum individual player DUPR: 5.10
• DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
  • Maximum individual player DUPR: 4.60
• DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
  • Maximum individual player DUPR: 4.10
• DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
  • Maximum individual player DUPR: 3.60

Once a team registers, their ratings are locked, meaning any subsequent changes in DUPR will not affect their division placement.

Registration & Requirements

• DUPR Account: Required for all participants at the time of registration. Not rated players can compete, but their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
• Substitute Players: Substitutes can be added by logging into Swish or submitting details directly to the tournament organizer. The substitute’s DUPR must not cause the team’s aggregate to exceed the event’s limit.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee, cancellations must be made by October 1, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
