Terry Brent Rooker Jr., known professionally as Brent Rooker, is an American professional baseball designated hitter and outfielder for the Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, and Kansas City Royals. Rooker made his MLB debut in 2020 and has since built a reputation as a power-hitting corner bat. The Minnesota Twins selected Rooker with the 35th overall pick of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, and he signed for a $1.935 million signing bonus. He was assigned to the Elizabethton Twins and later promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle, combining for a .281/.364/.566 line with 18 home runs and 52 runs batted in across 62 games in his first professional season.
