Cohl Cabral (born February 11, 1998) is an American professional football center. He played college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils. After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, he has participated with various teams in the NFL and the USFL. His notable achievements include winning the USFL Championship in 2023 and being named to the All-UFL Team in 2025.
Early Life and Background
Cohl Cabral was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He attended Los Osos High School, where he played center and offensive tackle on the football team. His performance earned him a selection to play in the Under Armour All-America Game as a senior. Cabral was highly regarded as he was ranked the second-best center in the nation by ESPN and was listed at 199 on the ESPN 300. Following high school, he committed to play college football at Arizona State University.
Path to American Football
Cabral began his college career at Arizona State in 2016, where he played in 11 games as a freshman. In his sophomore year, he started all 13 games at left tackle, contributing significantly to the team’s success, including helping running back Demario Richard achieve over 1,000 yards rushing. By his junior year, Cabral transitioned to center, starting all 13 games and earning a spot on the All-Pac-12 second team. He was recognized as a team captain, showcasing his leadership on the field. In his senior year, he continued to excel, once again starting all 13 games and achieving another second-team All-Pac-12 selection. He finished with an impressive run-blocking grade and allowed only one sack throughout the season.

Early Career (2020)
After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cohl Cabral signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent. However, his time with the Rams was brief; he was waived shortly after the start of the season but was re-signed to the practice squad. Unfortunately, he was released again later that year.
Breakthrough (2021-2023)
Cabral’s journey continued as he signed with the Houston Texans’ practice squad in November 2020 and later secured a reserve/futures contract. He was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Vikings in May 2021 but faced further challenges, being waived and re-signed to the practice squad multiple times. In December 2021, he joined the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad and signed a reserve/futures contract in January 2022, but was waived in May. In 2023, Cabral found success with the Birmingham Stallions, starting in all 12 games and contributing to the team’s USFL Championship victory.
