Daewood Davis is an American professional football wide receiver. He played college football for the Oregon Ducks and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and has previously played for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, he signed with the Miami Dolphins but was later waived due to an injury. He then joined the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL) and was named to the All-UFL team in 2024.
Early Life and Background
Daewood Davis was born on January 23, 1999, in Broward County, Florida. He attended Deerfield Beach High School, where he excelled in both football and track & field. During his high school football career, he earned recognition as a third-team All-Broward County player, helping lead his team to an 8A state semifinal appearance in his senior year. Rated as a three-star recruit, Davis initially committed to play for the University of South Florida but ultimately chose to attend the University of Oregon, turning down offers from several other schools, including Miami and Nebraska.
Path to American Football
At the University of Oregon, Daewood Davis redshirted his true freshman season in 2017. He made his debut in the 2018 season, playing in seven games and recording a 13-yard reception against the San Jose Spartans. His position shifted from wide receiver to cornerback during his time at Oregon, but he eventually returned to wide receiver. In the 2019 season, he played in 13 games, accumulating nine receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown. After a limited 2020 season, he entered the transfer portal in January 2021 and subsequently transferred to Western Kentucky University.

On October 1, 2023, Daewood Davis signed with the Memphis Showboats of the USFL.
