The Memphis Showboats were a professional American football team based in Memphis, Tennessee, competing in the United Football League (UFL) and United States Football League (USFL) from 2023 to 2025. The franchise was founded on November 15, 2022, joining the USFL as a replacement for the Tampa Bay Bandits. The team played home games at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and wore navy blue, yellow, and white colors. Owned jointly by Fox Corporation, Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, and RedBird Capital Partners, the Showboats experienced a challenging tenure with low attendance and multiple coaching changes. Despite efforts to build a fanbase, the team was formally discontinued in October 2025.
