Steele Chambers was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, Georgia. During his high school career, he played both linebacker and running back, earning recognition as a 4-star recruit. His impressive performance on the field led him to commit to Ohio State University to play college football.

Path to American Football

At Ohio State, Steele Chambers began his collegiate career as a running back, playing in 2019 and 2020. In his first two years, he recorded 28 carries for 221 yards and one touchdown. Prior to the 2021 season, he made the transition to linebacker, a move that would define his college career. As a linebacker, he started four of 13 games in his first year, accumulating 47 tackles, one sack, and one interception. Chambers returned to Ohio State as a starter in 2022, solidifying his position on the team.
