Jalen Davis was born on February 2, 1996, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He spent his formative years in La Mesa, California, where he attended Helix High School. At Helix, he showcased his versatility by playing both cornerback and wide receiver, as well as returning kicks and punts for the Scotties. His senior year was particularly impressive, as he was named the Grossmont Conference Defensive Player of the Year after recording 45 tackles. Additionally, he earned first-team all-conference honors on offense after catching 48 passes for 649 yards and four touchdowns, along with returning four punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns.

Path to American Football

After high school, Jalen Davis received a scholarship offer from Utah State University, the only Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) school to do so. He played four seasons for the Utah State Aggies from 2014 to 2017. During his senior year, Davis intercepted five passes, three of which he returned for touchdowns. He also broke up 12 passes and held quarterbacks to a passer rating of 30.5 when targeted. Jalen Davis signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. He was cut from the team at the end of the preseason but was re-signed to the practice squad on September 2. Davis made his NFL debut on December 9, 2018, in a close win against the New England Patriots. He recorded his first career tackle, a sack, and forced a fumble against the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 23. However, he was released by the Dolphins during final roster cuts on August 31, 2019.

Breakthrough (2019-2020)

After his time with the Miami Dolphins, Jalen Davis was signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad on September 3, 2019. He was promoted to the active roster on December 7, 2019.
