Jerrod Clark (born November 16, 1999) is an American professional football nose tackle who most recently played for the Houston Gamblers of the United Football League (UFL). Standing 6 ft 4 in and competing at roughly 337 lb, he has built a professional career as an interior defensive lineman after a productive college run at Coastal Carolina. Early Life and Background
Jerrod Clark grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where he developed into a two-sport standout at Brighton High School. As a junior, he helped lead the Bengals football team to the Division 7 state semi-finals, where they fell to a strong Mashpee squad. His leadership on the gridiron during that playoff run helped establish him as a college-level prospect.
Clark was also a successful basketball player at Brighton. In 2017, he won the Massachusetts Division II State Basketball Championship with the Brighton High Bengals, demonstrating the athleticism and competitive drive that would later translate to the football field. Following his high school career, he committed to continue his football career at Coastal Carolina University.
Path to American Football
Clark arrived at Coastal Carolina as part of the Chanticleers’ 2018 recruiting class and developed over five collegiate seasons. He was waived on August 29, 2023, as part of the Chargers’ roster reductions, but quickly returned to the organization on the practice squad. Clark spent the remainder of the 2023 season developing on the practice squad while learning the Chargers’ defensive scheme.
On January 11, 2024, Clark signed a reserve/future contract with the Chargers, securing his place on the offseason roster. However, on August 27, 2024, he was waived as part of the team’s final roster cuts heading into the regular season, ending his initial NFL stint.

On December 9, 2024, Clark signed with the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League, marking his entry into spring professional football. The move gave him a chance to play meaningful snaps in a starting role at nose tackle.
