Early Life and Background

Jonathan Owens was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Christian Brothers College High School, where he played high school football under coach Scott Pingel. During his time at Christian Brothers, Owens earned the title of CBC Linebacker of the Year, showcasing his talent early on. After high school, he continued his education and football career at Missouri Western State University, where he majored in pre-physical therapy.

Path to American Football

Owens redshirted during the 2013 season at Missouri Western State University. He played as a defensive back and had a notable college career, culminating in his final season in 2017, where he was named MWSU Male Student-Athlete of the Year and earned second-team all-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors.
