He made his professional debut in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) during the 2017-18 season and played for several seasons with SKA Saint Petersburg before pursuing a career in North America. Since signing with the Blue Jackets in May 2022, he has made significant contributions, including scoring a hat-trick in his rookie season and becoming a franchise leader in goals scored by a rookie.
