Monank Patel was born on May 1, 1993, in Anand, Gujarat, India. He is the son of Dilipbhai Patel and played for Gujarat at the under-16 and under-18 levels. Monank Patel made his T20 International debut against the United Arab Emirates on March 15, 2019, marking the first T20I fixtures for the United States cricket team. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the United States on April 27, 2019, against Papua New Guinea. In June 2019, he was named in a 30-man training squad for the United States cricket team ahead of the Regional Finals of the ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier tournament. Patel was one of five players to sign a 12-month central contract with USA Cricket in July 2019.
Breakthrough (2021–2024)
In October 2021, Patel was appointed captain of the USA team, replacing Saurabh Netravalkar in T20I.
