Abdurrahman Ya-Sin was born on May 23, 1996, in Decatur, Georgia. He attended Southwest DeKalb High School, where he was a two-star recruit. Committed to Presbyterian College on February 5, 2015, he began his football journey in a program that later transitioned to a non-scholarship conference.

Path to American Football

After his time at Presbyterian, Ya-Sin transferred to Temple University mid-year, where he made a significant impact on the football team. During his college career, he recorded 44 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, two interceptions, and 12 pass breakups, showcasing his skills as a cornerback. His performance earned him a spot in the 2019 Senior Bowl, further elevating his profile ahead of the NFL draft.

He made an immediate impact, recording his first career interception in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. In March 2022, Ya-Sin was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, where he played in 11 games, starting nine and recording 45 tackles and seven passes defensed. He then signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens in May 2023. Following a brief stint with the Ravens, he joined the San Francisco 49ers in April 2024.
