At the age of 10, Olubi’s family moved to London, England, giving him a brief international experience before returning to Bullhead City. They eventually settled in Corona, California, where Olubi attended Centennial High School. At Centennial, he was a three-year varsity letter winner in both football and track and field. His best track times included 11.33 seconds in the 100 meters and 23.23 seconds in the 200 meters, and he recorded a 22-foot-3-inch long jump along with a school-record 45-foot-11-inch triple jump.
