Taj Gibson was born on June 24, 1985, in Brooklyn, New York. He began his education at P.S. 67 Charles A. Dorsey School in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene neighborhood. Gibson started his high school career at the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology in Brooklyn. He later attended Stoneridge Prep in Tarzana, California, for his sophomore and junior years, before finishing his senior year at Calvary Christian in San Fernando, California.
